Two Lafayette Choir Seniors were invited to compete in the UK Opera / Alltech Scholarship competition on Saturday, March 4, 2017. Catarine Hancock won second place (full tuition and $4000) and Bailey Tillery won third place (full tuition and $1000). Each winner also received $1000 from Pearse Lyons, president of Alltech. Congrats to our singers for their hard work and dedication.

Each semester choir students in Singers, Chorale, Madrigals and Adv. Women are required to attend one professional, collegiate, or community vocal concert as an audience member. The following links are some acceptable choices. Please avoid musical theatre shows. If you have questions about the suitability of a concert, please ask Mr. Marsh or Mrs. Howard. Concert attendance requirement is due by Thursday, May 18, 2017 Simply turn in a ticket stub or concert program with your name on it. You can also email a photo of the above to:

Congratulations to this year's KMEA All-State singers. We have a great crew representing Lafayette this year. Students competed at the district and state levels to secure a place in this year's honors choruses. The choirs will rehearse for two days and perform in Louisville Kentucky Center Whitney Hall the week of Feb 6, 2017.
